PHMI In Person Movie Night: “The Color of Care”

Description: The Pre-Health Mentoring Initiative is excited to hold its first in-person event of the semester. We are excited to announce PHMI's first IN-PERSON event of the semester! We will host a Movie Night on Thursday, November 2nd at 6 pm in the Hemmerdinger Auditorium. This event will feature "The Color of Care", a documentary on racial health disparities. This thought-provoking documentary delves into the systematic disparities in healthcare experienced by people of color in the US. It specifically highlights how the COVID-19 pandemic brought to light the devastating outcomes of healthcare inequity. This film is engaging and informative; we hope you will find it relevant as future healthcare professionals.

This event will be a unique opportunity for all Pre-Health students to network with mentors/mentees on the same pre-health track as you. We will also provide refreshments for everyone to enjoy during the movie!

All PHMI mentees and mentors are strongly encouraged to attend this event as the film will be a great point of reflection for one-on-one meetings. Additionally, for all PHMI mentors, the 2 hours for this event will count towards the 5-hour semester requirement for PHMI.
