| Description: | Do you enjoy music and want to help bring joy to others through your musical/theatrical talents? Hear Your Song Inc. is a national nonprofit organization whose goal is to provide a creative outlet to critically ill children and teens. This is done through collaborative songwriting with patients and from this, we go into a musical production of the song in order to bring their dreams to life. At this event, we will have a random word generator to come up with prompts for a practice songwriting session. This is to mimic what a typical collaborative songwriting session with our patients may be like and allow our prospective volunteers to get practice. Volunteering with Hear Your Song Inc. not only allows for students to get some community service hours but is a rewarding experience and allows for the ability to join an inclusive and accepting community. If you are interested in volunteering with children and have passions in music, we would gladly love to see you there. New recruits are always welcome, as well as those who may want to observe and see what Hear Your Song Inc. is about. We hope to see you there! |
