This program aims to introduce students to the day-to-day work of advanced practice providers in healthcare. Monday, January 6th, 2025 - APP 101 – Introduction to the Advanced Practice Provider Tuesday, January 7th, 2025 - Pathways to APP Profession: Past, Present, and Future (history of how the profession came about, different ways in which you can practice as an APP) Wednesday, January 8th, 2025 - Bringing it all Together: The Interdisciplinary Approach (Case study with various healthcare providers) Thursday, January 9th, 2025 - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists: Everything you ever wanted to know – but were afraid to ask! Friday, January 10th, 2025 - Medical VS. Surgical PA You will receive a certificate of completion if you attend all sessions in their entirety and the opportunity to apply for the 2025 in-person shadowing program at Memorial Sloan Kettering. This virtual program can be included in your health professions CV and graduate school application. |
