Description: The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) on Campus and the Pre-Health Office are happy to announce a Doctor-Speaker Series event with Jess P. Shatkin, MD, MPH. Dr. Shatkin is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist currently practicing in New York City.

In addition, Dr. Shatkin is the founder and director of nation's largest undergraduate child development program, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies (CAMS) at NYU. His major clinical interests are mood and anxiety disorders, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder, disruptive behavior disorders, and sleep. Dr. Shatkin received his Bachelors degree from the University of California at Berkeley and his Masters in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his Medical Doctorate from the State University of New York at Brooklyn (Downstate Medical Center) and completed his post-graduate training in general and child/adolescent psychiatry at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute.
