Leadership 101 for Pre-Health Students: Profiles in Leadership

Description: In your professional life, you are likely to be a leader of a team as a Doctor, Dentist, Physical Therapist, Physician Assistant or Optometrist, and it is extremely helpful to have leadership positions as a Pre-Health student. Your ability to demonstrate these skills in your application to graduate school plays an important role in your success as an applicant. Join us to learn from extraordinary student leaders at Hunter College and in the Pre-Health community how to be a successful leader. Our inaugural speaker will be Nibras Ahmed.
Nibras Ahmed is a senior at Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College double majoring in Economics and Human Biology with a minor in Mathematics. He serves as the vice-chair on the Hunter Senate and the director of the Pre-Health Mentoring Initiative. On the Senate, Nibras serves as the chair of the Committee on Evaluation of Teaching and is the founder of the Ad-Hoc Committee on Student Life. In addition to his campus responsibilities, he has founded the Remote Resources Initiative, which provides classroom and extracurricular support to elementary, middle, and high school students in the New York Metropolitan Area.
This speaker series is strongly recommended for freshman and sophomore students.
