Strategies for Getting into Medical School and Networking with Healthcare Professionals

Description: Join us for our 2017 Pre-Health weekend panel discussion and networking event with Dean David Taylor of Georgetown University School of Medicine and Dr. Asante Dickson Chairman of the Radiology Department at Washington Adventist Hospital. They will offer strategies for getting into medical school and networking with professionals.
Dean David Taylor joined the Georgetown University School of Medicine family in 1990 as the Associate Dean for Student Learning, responsible for initiatives that promote the retention and advancement of medical students. Dean Taylor is the recipient of numerous awards including: Mayoral Proclamation of Excellence (2017) for medical education programs in service to the residents of the District of Columbia, Georgetown University President's Excellence Award (2015) for performance that has clearly demonstrated a commitment to excellence and Diamond Award (2014, 2015) for excellence in medical student advising and support.

Dr. Asante Dickson is the current chairman of the Radiology Department at Washington Adventist Hospital. He is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and possesses a Certificate of Added Qualification from the American Board of Radiology in Neuroradiology. Dr. Dickson began his path to medicine while attending Cornell University as an undergraduate, graduated from Georgetown University School of medicine and received a competitive neuroradiology fellowship from Stanford University.
