Join us for a talk with Dr. Michelle Garcia '15 in celebration of women's History Month. Michelle Garcia was born and raised in NYC. She graduated from CUNY Hunter College where she majored in Biochemistry and minored in Music. She then completed her MD degree at SUNY Downstate School of Medicine and her residency in Anesthesia at Emory University. Michelle is Emory’s first dual CCM/ACTA fellow. Dedicated to volunteering and mentorship throughout her career via organizations like MAPS/SNMA/LMSA, University Council at SUNY Downstate, and Brooklyn Free Clinic, Michelle has been an EMPACT committee advisor at Emory since 2021. With interests in all things Ultrasound/Echo, Mentorship/teaching, and Financial literacy. Michelle's ultimate goal is to start her own non-profit to mentor the next generation of professionals. In her free time, you can find her paddle boarding, hiking, or traveling any corner of the world. |
