Hunter Alum Ubayed Muhith is an Emergency Medicine first-year resident at Jacobi/Montefiore. He attended medical school at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. Ubayed graduated from Hunter College in 2018 with a BA in Biochemistry and a Math minor. He was accepted to both MD and DO schools, but chose to attend an osteopathic medical school. He has held leadership roles in the Hunter College MSA (Muslim Students Association) and USG, and was also ae Thomas Hunter honors scholar. While at Hunter, Ubayed conducted research in the biology department with Dr. Ogunwobi. His notable achievements include the Undergraduate Research fellowship and the Benjamin Gilman Scholarship for studying Arabic in Jordan. |
