This program aims to introduce students to the day-to-day work of advanced practice providers in healthcare. Monday, January 8th, 2024 - APP 101 – Introduction to the Advanced Practice Provider Profession and Education Tuesday, January 9th, 2024 - Pathways to APP Profession: Past, Present, and Future (history of how the profession came about, different ways in which you can practice as an APP) Wednesday, January 10th, 2024 - Bringing it all Together: The Interdisciplinary Approach Thursday, January 11th, 2024 - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists: Everything you ever wanted to know – but were afraid to ask! Friday, January 12th, 2024 - Medical VS. Surgical PA You will receive a certificate of completion if you attend all sessions in their entirety and the opportunity to apply for the 2024 in-person shadowing program at Memorial Sloan Kettering. This experience can be included in your health professions graduate school application. |
